![]() As "front line pyro" you are the reason the enemy have to keep fighting your team with half health and on fire or to retreat to the nearest health pack/spawn every now and then. Those hit and run combo pyros aren't helpful to your team, if you need fast burst damage on the front line you already have better classes to do that. Enemies walking away from the battle zone and going to an health pack or to spawn are as good as dead for your team, if you can force even 2-3 players to do so or to damage them enough to allow your soldier to finish them all with a single rocket then your suicidal mission is very worth it. If we are talking about a pyro staying with the team your main goal will be to protect the area by reflecting away anything you can and to do as much damage as possible to the enemy team to force them to retreat or to die right away, oftenly leading to suicidal missions that give your team those extra precious seconds to cap or defend, you're not a medic, you are very expendable as pyro. The degreaser is a direct downgrade in all situations like the sharpened volcano fragment, if we take the flanking pyro then you need the backburner/thermal thruster and that's it. Tl dr:Tl dr: Scattergun for comp, and pub """"stomping"""", Force-a-Nature for pubs and memeing The knockback can be annoying at times as well, like when you're jumping around, land a shot, and get sent flying back. ![]() Although the knockback on Force-a-nature is amazing in MvM and CTF, and although it does the most close up damage, the scatter has a lot more shots and al ot less reloading. Thing is, if you miss, you're screwed, unless you have the Bonk or the Pistol.Īlso, the more shots makes the scatter more spammy, great for indoors and outdoors, also can make sniper stop starting at you. So, the FaN is fun, but definetly not a straight upgrade. Although you'll get shit in for It.įaN shines in tight places or open spaces with environmental kill areas. You literally one-shot a medic, two-shot a heavy (with the insane firing speed that's a certainty) without overheal, and one-shots light classes. I'd say this is the only case where the FaN destroys the scattergun, because paired with the criti-cola, you become the biggest fucking asshole ever. The Stock Scattergun pairs with everything. But once you shoot 'em once, they're too far to reach and get that EPIC MEATSHOT ! The 2 bullets in the chamber is a big hinderance, since your overall damage output is smaller with the FaN (Force-a-Nature) making you a glass cannon that isn't even a cannon. So basically, here's my rant on how Stock is better than the Force-a-Nature.
